If you are coming by road, Sherborne is situated on the A30, 10 miles south of the A303. Sherborne is also easily accessible on the train, being about 2¼ hours from London Waterloo and 1¼ hours from Exeter.
The Coach Park is in Culverhayes car park. There is also a drop-off point outside the TIC which is a little closer to the town centre and very near the Abbey. Coach drivers are advised to enter the town from the south along New Road, down Gas House Hill and across the level crossing.
To access the coach park, once over the level crossing go first right, then turn left into the car park.
To go to the TIC drop off point, go immediately left after the level crossing, then left again at the junction and follow the road around a right hand bend. You’ll then see the Abbey ahead of you. The TIC is on the left, next to a bus stop, shortly before the Abbey. To reach the coach park from there we advise that you go left at the T junction by the Abbey, go left at the T junction and follow the road back round to New Road.
There are public toilets, including a RADAR key operated toilet, at Culverhayes coach park, Old Market car park and in Digby Road, near the Tourist Information Centre (TIC), where RADAR keys can be purchased.
Coach drivers are invited to call into the TIC to pick up an information pack, which includes a voucher for free refreshments at some coffee shops in the town.Follow me!
