Tuesday 6 November / Society, Service & Scarifice : Sherborne Remembers the First World War. This evening commemoration, led by Sherborne Museum, seeks to give a context to the lives and deaths of the 175 men listed on the town’s First World War memorial. Tickets: £8, on sale at Sherborne Tourist Information Centre. Monday 27 May / Sherborne Castle Country Fair a one-day rural event held in the grounds of Sherborne Castle. This family day-out is held to raise funds for local children’s charities and youth organisations.  It is a traditional country fair with displays and attractions, trade and craft stands and a rare and native breed animal show.  The 2019 date is Bank Holiday Monday 27th May. Tickets on the day cost: adult £12.50, child (5-16) £4.00, family* £30.00.  Under 5’s free.  *Admits 2 adults and 3 fee-paying children.
