The ancient market town of Sherborne is famous for its historic buildings including its Abbey Church, the renowned Sherborne Boys’ School and two castles. The Abbey and many of the medieval and Georgian buildings are built from  distinctive ochre-coloured hamstone.

Sherborne is a popular centre of activity for locals and visitors alike. It is known for its cultural events and festivals as well as its beautiful high street. Cheap Street is home to a wide range of independent shops offering fashion, gifts, antiques, local food, specialist chocolates, wine and more.
